Frequently Asked Question

Mentoring

Question
What if problems arise?
Answer

Always communicate any issue or concern within your relationship or in terms of the child and/or their family.  One to One is available for support if significant problems arise in the life of the mentee.  One to One can sometimes be invited to intervene to help the youth return to a stable place of functioning.  One to One seeks to empower mentors to connect with their mentees and to become effective guides.  Empowerment may include providing resources when youth or the family needs assistance that can come from an outside social agency.  One to One can help the mentor make this connection in order to help their mentee.
