Program Manager

Full Time Year Round

OVERALL RESPONSIBILITIES
To promote One to One Mentoring’s mission, achieve short and long-term goals and objectives, expand resources, and maintain quality and effectiveness in all programs and services.

The Program Manager is responsible for:

Community Mentoring Program

  • Follow the Elements of Effective Practice for Mentoring
  • Manage the recruitment, screening and training of mentors
  • Manage referred youth, mentees and their families
  • Supervise current matches
  • Create and manage new matches
  • Connect mentors, mentees and families to community resources
  • Coordinate and supervise match activities
  • Maintain records and case notes of all participants
  • Support the linguistic and cultural needs of all participants

Program Delivery

  • Collect survey data
  • Provide regular program reports and grant data
  • Assist staff with grant completion
  • Maintain partnerships with local school district staff and community-based social agencies
  • Represent the organization in related community groups (ISST, Latino Advocacy, etc.)
  • Represent the organization at community functions, in media interviews and before groups
  • Implement the principals, methods, current research and best practices of mentoring in program management and development

Additional responsibilities

  • When on staff, manage the Case Manager
  • Assist in the development and supervision of other programs including Peer to Peer
  • Assist with fundraising and other One to One Mentoring events
  • Other tasks as directed

QUALIFICATIONS

Education
Degree in Social Work or related field i.e. human services, health or education

Experience
Case management
Ability to interact with people of all ages and cultural backgrounds

Expected
Excellent communication, organizational and writing skills
Bilingual English/Spanish
